SUCCESS = DIGNITY

This blog comes after a long break. It is not that I have not written, but most of the scribbling of my though processes, have remain in draft form. Earlier this week, I was in India primarily to participate in the 60th birthday celebration of my mentor. But this week was also quite special for me as one of our best friend from Copenhagen was visiting Pune, while I was here in Pune.

Danish by birth, this beautiful and young lady is Yoga practitioner for past 11 years and now teaches Yoga both in Copenhagen and in Chennai, India. Though it appears strange that western practitioner is teaching here in India (the land where Yoga originated and prospered),it is also a most welcome sign, as this reflects that yoga has pushed its boundaries beyond India, and has become an truly global endeavor now.

During mesmerizing three day stay of this bold, beautiful and spiritually empowered lady in Pune, we conversed on several aspects and shared our life stories. We talked about highs and lows in our respective lives, and also about rise and falls we have experienced so far. I was not only impressed but also inspired with highs and lows she has passed through. When I analyse the bad times that she has been through, and the way she has overcome them and moved ahead in life on path to spiritual freedom, only one thing comes to my mind – DIGNITY.

I now believe that it is the self DIGNITY which has given her the strength to overcome bad, worst within and around her. It is this very self DIGNITY that helped her in awakening godliness within her when she was in the surrounding that only leads you to evilness. From that atmosphere of evilness, she metamorphosed and transformed herself to Yoga practitioner leading all around her to the path of good health, great godly values, unlimited care, and love without any expectation. Ever since, Pradnya and I know this angle, we have felt all these and much more – which without doubt would not have been possible without self dignity for a person who has suffered so much in her most youthful days. I am convenienced that coming out with flying colors from the worst of worst sufferings in ones life can only be possible, if one is to his/her own virtue.

It is the self DIGNITY that gave this beautiful angel strength to fight evil within and around her, and be successful today. It is self dignity that helped this once spoil brat to not only shape her life, but courage enough to touch every life that she comes in contact with. Without self dignity it would not have been possible for her to love herself at first instance, forget loving others. This angle sole to me is a perfect exemplary life demonstrating immense power of self dignity – that can lift you from gutters of hell to the godliness of heavens. Not only that our love, respect and feelings of being proud about has increased by order of magnitude for this beautiful and charming lady, it has confirmed our belief that SUCCESS = DIGNITY. Additionally, close review of her lifescape reveals another essential sutra for success – SUCCESS is directly proportional to DIGNITY.

Love you angle for signify that, SUCCESS = DIGNITY!

SUCCESS = BLINDNESS IS STRENGTH

Earlier this week, I was in one of our regional nodes meeting. As expected much of the discussion was around the traget of discovery of 5 bn records, and mobilisation of 2 bn records. As I am experienced by now, everyone expect few of us who have placed this challenge at first place, were so pesimistic, as if we could never achieve it in this lifetime. What was strage was those present in the room are most wise men and women with tremendous experience we have in this business of 'biodiversity informatics'. At one stage, I felt becuase we are so wise and foresighted (negatively) that we are so pesimistic about achieving the challenge. Wish we all could have been BLIND!

When I had this thought moentarialy, I felt guilty for having the thought of we all being BLIND at first instance. I quickly moved away from that and prayed to almighty that 'let us give the strength enough to achieve tragets that looks impossible today'. Back from travel, as I often do I was looking for booster to pep up my morale, as well bring in un-breakable faith in ambition. I happened to watch YouTube recordings of dance reality show 'Dance India Dance'. One of the contestant gave blind dance and when he was asked 'what motivated him', he presented Ms. Raspal Kaur a blind lady who presented breathtaking marhsal art performance. Raspal lost her eye sight during brain tumor operations. But she doubled and trippled her will power not to loose the battle. She learned marshal art after 2nd brain tumor operation, and perfected it so well that she decided to compete in the 'Dance India Dance' show to demonstrate her unmatching expertise. While, she could not participate, but became heart-throb of billions of people across globe. Raspal rose to symbol of strength, determination and never die attitude.

Blind Raspal on one side who decided never to loose, and wise, intelligent, and foresighted experts whom I met last week on another side, I am puzzled 'What makes Raspal so very special not to give up?'. I think blindness has offered Raspal ability to foucus on goals and not to get detetered under any circumstances. Many of us with vision and foresight often constipate with pros and cons - and those with inabilities and handicaptiveness - are deprived to think much of pros and cons and only foucsing and achiving goals remains option for them. Wish, almighty would have taken away options from billions of us so that we would have been foucsed and determined enough that only road to our survival would have been achieving the TRAGETS. Hope we learn from Raspals across globe to turn our weakness (blindness) into strength. Hope we do not waste our time in contipating on pros and cons and rather focus on tragets, and goals on which our very survival is dependent on. Thank you Raspal for letting us know that -

SUCCESS = BLINDNESS IS STRENGTH!

SUCCESS = Power of 'Slumdog' Hope!

This Monday I woke up to a news that 'Slumdog Millionaire' has won 8 Oscers, including 2 for legendary Allarakhha Rehman bagged two "Golden Lady's" and Resul Pookutty was declared best for 'Best Sound Mixing'. As I watched Allarakhha, accepting those 2 awards within the span of 10 minutes, tears of joy rolled down my chicks. While he was thanking his crew, director, and Mumbai, he emotions and unspeeched voice was saying ' Ma Tuze Salam!'.

I was full with emotions, not only because Rehman is a fellow Indian, but his achievements are in true sense symbolise true power of 'Slumdog Hope'. It is a life sketch of optimism, and hope amidst adversity. It just proves once again that it does not matter what your past is?, where you are today?, how comfortable and/or uncomfortable circumstances are? What matters that how strong and unshakable your dreams are! How much conveinced Hope you have! What degree of optimism you hold in! You are destined to succeed.

I am confluenced with so many emotions, but unable to key down at this point of celebration of 'Jai Ho'! Becasuse SUCCESS = Power of 'Slumdog' Hope!
